The Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) hosted its second Overseas Pakistanis Convention in London, bringing together delegates, entrepreneurs, and community leaders from across the globe. The event aimed to strengthen ties between Pakistan and its overseas community while acknowledging their immense role in national growth.
Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif attended the convention as the chief guest. In his speech, he paid tribute to overseas Pakistanis for their dedication and continuous support to the homeland. He noted that their remittances form a vital part of Pakistan’s economy and have been instrumental in ensuring financial stability.
The Prime Minister assured participants that the government is committed to addressing the challenges faced by expatriates and is introducing measures to streamline remittance systems and improve service efficiency.
Dr. Muhammad Waqas Nadeem, Chairman of Human Trust International, also took part in the convention and commended OPF’s efforts for successfully organizing an event of such scale. He remarked that these conventions not only celebrate the achievements of Pakistanis living abroad but also create opportunities for collaboration and social development.
The event concluded with a message of unity and hope, followed by a networking dinner that encouraged dialogue, partnership, and future community initiatives for Pakistan’s progress.
